Bed bugs are insects and they have several other names as well but they are commonly called bed bugs cause they usually live in bedding and bite you at night.
The bites are little red itchy welts. They are unlikey to give you an INFECTION but should be treated or they will continue to bite and breed in your bedding.

Bedbugs are lice and they suck your blood. They can also transmit a variety of diseases. Laundering your bedding weekly – and showering yourself – will eliminate the damn things..
dont be too afraid of these critters. ur bound to have a few in the carpet of yoru own bedroom. bedbugs are everywhere and they are nearly impossible to get rid of unless u fumegate ur whole house. I doubt households would have many bedbugs, but hotels etc would have heaps. they are nocturnal and sense by heat, at night they find their way to u and suck your blood. only a few types of these bugs leave a bite. i think the worst bug (which is very rare) is the kiss beetle, they have been known to incapacitate someone. but do not be scared of that because they are RARE. the common bed bug looks like a really small tick or mite.
Bed bugs are insects that feed on blood from warm-blooded animals. They are not known to transmit infectious disease. The worst that may happen is you’ll become sensitized to the saliva which may later cause mild allergic reactions.
