Question by C v T:
Do you think i have bed bugs ?

I have been getting red itchy spots in random areas. I’ve seen three bugs in my living room in like a week and i killed them all. Now i wake up itchy with spots not very noticeable unless i itch them but my daughter who sleep in the same bed as me sometimes doesn’t have any and my husband doesn’t either. Is his just me freaking out or do i have bugs? i have checked my mattress and checked when if felt like something was biting me at night and see nothing. Please only helpful tips or advice it needs to be taken seriously.

If you have seen three there are probably more, and if there are any the problem will get worse. You should check with a professional exterminator.

well its sure that you gotta change the bed sheet from an while to another but i don’t think you have bed bugs. search for any spots of tiny blood or something and check if you turned over an bug or something. but i really hope you find nothing.

Heres a web site that will help you determine if you have bed bugs or not.=)

My 2 concerns
1 are you vacuuming your bed between sheet changes? this helps pull up extra bed bugs. there are always bed bugs but and extreme case case rashes.
2.one normally can’t SEE bed bugs with the naked eye. if you can SEE them it may be fleas. check your pets, even in winter, then wash everything with a few drops of liquid dishsoap (DAWN) including pets. fleas can’t hold on. or if the kids are over at their friends house who have pets. fleas do stick to clothing also

I am preparing myself for the same problem! According to some websites I found, some people may be bitten and have no signs (such as your husband and daughter). Also, it is said they move extremely quick! So, by the time you check to see what has bitten you is long gone. “Bed bugs” hide in several places not just your mattress. Try checking furniture, cracks in floors and just about everywhere. Hope this helps. Like I said I may be in the same boat soon and don’t not much about ’em. Best of luck to you!
