If you can’t find them, then how do you know for sure that is what it is? Are you finding red spots on your legs when you get up in the morning? Take the blankets off of your bed one layer at a time and look closely, especially at the bottom of the bed. You should be able to see small specs. These are bed bugs. The only way to get rid of them, I believe but not positive, is to call an exterminator. You can wash the blankets all you want, but those pesky things travel, and it doesn’t take them long to find new spots in your home to live. They love to feed on blood, which is where the red spots, if you have any, came from.

Hey, just found a DIY web site, too. Checki it out. It also shows what to look for.

Well, there are green options available that will help you out. In some cases you may need pesticides to do the trick, but trying the green options first is the best idea, especially if you don’t have too many of the bed bugs. Here are a few green methods to try:

-Clean Everything: Imply doing a good clean can be helpful if you want to get rid of the bedbugs. Clean the bedding by washing it well. Vacuum the area that is infested too, whether it is a mattress, couch, or carpets.

-Eliminate the Clutter: If you have clutter in your home, get rid of it. The more clutter available, the more areas that are available for these critters to hide in. Get rid of the clutter to help get rid of the bed bugs.

-Try Smothering Them: Using a mattress bag on your mattress or some bags for your pillows can help you to actually smother away the bed bugs. Just make sure that you check for holes on a regular basis.

-Steam Cleaning: You can kill bed bugs with high temperatures. By steam cleaning your carpets, curtains, furniture, and more, you can kill off these bugs as well as the eggs they lay.

You don’t have to resort to chemicals to get rid of bed bugs. With these green options, you should be able to finally get rid of the bed bugs that have taken up residence in your home.

Sometimes people mistake fleas for bed bugs. Bed bugs will hide near where they feed at night, so check your mattress seams and any crevices they could hide in. Do you have bites on your skin? The bites will usually leave a rash that itches. There is quite a bit of information on bed bugs online. You can use non-toxic products to kill them or call an exterminator.
