Question by Saina Raiya:
Can I infect my house with bed bugs just from sleeping over at a house that has them?
I’ve been spending the night at a friends house often and just recently they told me they had bedbugs. I haven’t seen any or been bitten yet but am I putting my home at risk for possible infestation?

Yes, you can. They spread like flies.
Yes.
Yes, they can get in your clothes, your bags, anywhere and then spread into your house. You need to check anything that you’ve worn over there, taken over there, etc. and check all your bedding and mattresses and everything. It could be that you haven’t spread them yet and that’s why you haven’t been bitten, but I would definitely look into it.
YES
Yes, this is how many people carry the bedbugs into their houses. Bedbugs are notorious for hitching rides on clothing, bags, luggage, etc. Get informed about the early warning signs, keep an eagle eye out for them and stay out of your friends’ house.
Bed bugs can be very tiny and they are very fast, they tend to hide in the seems of clothing, bags, and other things that could bring them with you home. I would avoid going to that persons residence until they have got rid of them.
Unfortunately you are. There are steps you can take for prevention such as installing Bedbug-proof mattress encasements and early detection traps. I am an online retailer and have included my link, not only does it contain valuable information but I also offer these products.
