I’d recommend a thorough steam clean of a mattress.

Boggy March 10, 2011 at 2:56 pm: If they definitely are bed bugs, (look up on the web for bed bugs and they will have pictures) then the only resort is Rentokil or some other exterminator company. They hide in more places than just the bed i.e. cracks in skirting boards, walls, light switches, power sockets etc. and you wont be able to get rid of them yourself.
