i think they are called carpet ”mites”..wouldnt hurt to scrub carpets before your new stuff arrives..they sell a solution you can add to your scrubber that ”helps” get rid of various little critters in your rug…if rug is very old they might be dug down into the matting..you should do the ”entire” house sorry to say…good luck..beam me up raid
