It is highly unlikely that a hotel would have bed bugs and that would be the only problem with the room.
You would see little black spots on the sheets. Those aren’t the bugs themselves, but their “droppings.”
Just life the bed sheets off, there will be many little red bugs crawling…euch!!!
that not very likely..but get your own pillow atleast
Throw a piece of steak on the bed, if it gets eaten by the morning there are bed bugs watch out. Just kidding, you need to buy one of them ultra violet lights that check for bacteria, they are purple and you can see living creatures like me in your bed, just kidding, I meant your boy friend.
Good luck.
check out this article and look for these bugs when you go

apparently they can be seen by the visible eye, but you might want to get a black light and check at night.
I would not be too worried about bed bugs as the rooms are cleaned daily.. but dark little spots should tell you there is something..
Look under the sheets on the mattress..
watch oceans thirteen. there is a scene there where this critic uses some kind of gadget to detect bed bugs.
Bedbugs are typically near the head of the mattress, you need to look at the cuffs and the edges. If you really into looking, remove the headboard, picture frames as well. Flip the Mattress if you must. You would probably need a flashlight to see what you looking for. The babies are pretty tiny so do a thorough search. Word to the wise though, Bedbugs do not feed nightly, a bedbug fills itselfs with blood from a victim and does not have to feed again for a few months.. lets hope its not coming off its fill when you arrive.
