Question by Joyce C:
What are those tiny beetles found in the corners of matresses or on window sills (not flat bed bugs)?

I always seem to find these tiny, maybe 1-2 mm beetles when I clean. Either in the corners of my mattress pad, box spring, window sills, and in the ridges of rubbermaid storage bins. They have a very round shell and tiny feet underneath, and cling easily to tissues, etc. I don’t think they’re bed bugs or carpet beetles, does anyone know what they are called and how you can get rid of them?

catch some and take them to a bug exterminator
Get some food grade Diamatatious Earth and lightly sprinkle it around where you find them . it is like crawling around in broken glass to them , they will leave .
You can find agricultural grade much easy-er at many greenhouse supplies but not as effective

would need to see a picture but by description it sound like the adult stage of carpet beetle. There are different species of carpet beetles, maybe you are seeing one you are just unfamiliar with. knowing what you have will determine the best way to get rid of them but with any pest, starting with a thorough cleaning where you see them is a must…break out the vacuum.
