HELP! Bed Bugs, Roaches (diff sizes)!! — How to get rid of them?

We have called a professional service and 1st time they sprayed something, we actually noticed an increase in these bugs!
Then, they changed the carpets. Yet, bugs remain. Seems like they were reduced (maybe)!

In the kitchen, we noticed a lots of roaches (varying sizes) that show up as we shut off the light during night and there are bed bugs that show up in the beds during late nights!

They told us to spray Boric powder all over and vacuum after leaving it for few hours. We have not yet done it!

What are other “effective” ways to tackle this situation?

Thanks in advance!
What kind of fogger’s can be used in the apartment?
Where do I get those Raid roach bombs?
The service I mentioned is provided by the Apartment folks — they replaced the carpet and sprayed a couple of times.

OMG ewwwww! Can you move? Ok now that the heebie jeebies have calmed down….

If it is a house you have to treat the inside and outside. Outside try seven dust…look for it at a major hardware store. Inside you need to determine if they are breeding in the walls or coming from outside. Have you tried a fogger? Do that and wash everything. Small roaches usually mean they are breeding in the walls. You have to be really agressive and make sure you are not contributing to the [roblem by being dirty. Get rid of extra clutter and don’t leave food out or on the floors. As far as the bedbugs, if your mattress is full of them you have to get a new mattress.

I recently found an infestation of bed bugs in one of the beds in my house. The only thing you can do for them is get a professional treatment. But you have to prepare for the service yourself, meaning a lot of work. Bag up all blankets, pillows, clothing, curtains, etc, in the room where the bed bugs are found. Keep them bagged until the treatment and then wash them all in hot water and DRY on HIGH HEAT, the heat will kill the bugs in the items.

Vacuuming, this helps too. Just remember to change/emtpy the bag after every room or you will run the risk of dropping them in other places. Not excessive vacuuming, just once a week. Also throw out any old mattresses, they are obviously doing you no good, just breeding more infestations. Don’t bring any new bedding into the house unless it is still in the plastic bag with NO holes, or purchase a plastic zipper bag specially made for mattresses.

This is an EXPENSIVE treatment, and a lengthy process, ONE spraying does NOT kill all of the bugs and their eggs. In fact it will only kill the currently hatched bugs, the eggs are not effected. You need to have the treatment repeated multiple times to kill all the new hatched eggs. For us, we are using Terminix and it cost us $ 300 for the first treatment and they will continue to come out and spray once a month for 11 months, this will cost $ 60 each time. This is done in the entire house.

[EDIT]
If this is really an APARTMENT you are talking about you NEED to go to your landlord. The reason why you can’t get rid of them is probably because they are crawling, or hitching their way in via ANOTHER apartment in your building. Try over and over, but they will keep coming back because the source of the problem was not attacked. I may be misunderstanding, but seriously, if you are in an apartment with bedbugs, go to your landlord, they SHOULD tackle this immediately.

Oh my goodness. I don’t think there’s any hope when it gets that badly infested.

You can move, but all your stuff is probably loaded with bugs and their eggs, too. If I were you, I’d cut my losses and start over. Keep anything that you can easily wash/wipe down and that doesn’t have hiding places for bugs and take the rest to the dump. Get rid of any extra clothes, shoes, boxes of stuff that have been in storage, anything with a nook or cranny that a bug could hide in. Roaches love electronic equipment and kitchen appliances.

If you do move, don’t bring the packing boxes or any packing material into the house. Keep them outside and only put items that you know for certain are bug free in them. Don’t bring the boxes in the house or your efforts will be wasted!

Wow, I hope it works out for you.

Try getting Raid roach bombs. Put one in each room of you house. Make sure you wash EVERYTHING in your house afterwards to get the chemical off your things. (dishes, shampoo rugs, laundry, etc.
