can i get rid of bedbugs myself?

gross. threw away mattres/box spring, head and foot boards. steam cleaned 2x, vacuum every day. hot wash and hot dry all bedding every day. 3 weeks since we found them and went to work to destroy them. if i continue this pattern, will they be gone? i’m sick over this and feel creepy crawly all the time. HELP!

You can get rid of the Bedbugs, you have to make sure that you wash everything that you think came in contact with the bed bugs. Yes hot water, and dry as hot as possible. The bed, you have to hand or manually pick thems off and put in bleach to kill. Remember you can if in a sunny area, wash all the bed clothes then dry is the dryer, then put in the sun light outside. YOu can throw all out if you wanted to make sure no bugs.

You really don’t need to get rid of all your stuff. The bedbugs crawl into hiding places during the daytime – in the walls, baseboards, dressers, etc, so they will keep coming back until you kill them all.

The most effective and safe way to get rid of bed bugs is with pyrethrins, which are natural chemicals found in chrysanthemums, and which are extremely toxic to insects and fish, but non-toxic to mammals, and only slightly toxic to birds. Two of these products are: Permacide, CB-80 Extra.
