how do i get rid of bed bugs with out calling a professional?
recently i discovered that i had bed bugs. i don’t have the money for new furniture nor do i have the money to pay a professional. anyone know how i might be able to get rid of them

Just say nicely to the bugs please leave my house. And they’ll say ok but where do we go put a crisp bag outside and they’ll leave your house and live there. True story.

Wash and dry all the linens including the comforter. Vacuum the mattress very well, every inch of it including the sides, then turn it over and vacuum the bottom. Vacuum everywhere, floors furniture and all the nooks and crannies, under the bed, in the bed slats etc, and don’t miss anyplace. I would then mix a light bleach and water mixture ( 2 cups warm water and 2 tbls bleach) in a spray bottle and lightly spray the mattress top and sides. Turn the mattress over and spray the top. Let it set a few hours, then turn it again and let dry until evening to make sure it is dry. This should get rid of them. Make your bed with the clean sheets, and enjoy a good nights sleep.
