Question by Matthew:
Can anyone tell me where these bites or what seem like bites are coming from?

For the past three months I’ve been getting what seem to be bug bites on my forearms and hands. Ive checked numerous times for bed bugs and completely cleaned and washed the room…These bites seem to appear during the day and itch for a few minutes but then subside…It has left my arms looking like a mine field lol…the bites are in random spots and at various times in the day. There are no signs of fleas or bedbugs. If anyone has any other ideas, the incite would be greatly appreciated.

Try using a different soap for a while, you might have hives (a type of allergic reaction). My dad had the same problem a while back, stopped using Dove soap and never had to worry about it again! If it continues, try going to the drug store and picking up some cortisone for the itch and maybe consider talking to a dermatologist.

try to count the bites you have to monitor if you get new ones.

Then try to eliminate the variables where bug spray all day and night see if that helps if not it is probably not mozzies or such like.

do you have windows open at night with lights on?

try mosquito net for a couple of nights.

spray your living area with flea stuff sometimes you dont always see them.

coat your skin with a fine layer of metal armour.

It could be mites that are seasonal, and live on the underside of leaves. And shower down on you when you are nearby. For example, do you have a tree near your bedroom window? Your car? These mites are also called “no seeums” because they are actually so tiny you could overlook them.

I had something similar happen whenever I cracked open my office window. Finally I took care of it by bringing dish soap & paper towels from home and washing the underside of the window sash and the window sill.

living in a tropical country like the Philippines I’d get a lot of those too. But not all are actually mosquito bites. Could be mites… so minute that you wont even see them unless you look closely. Favorite hiding place is the bed cushion

Mosquitoes attack very early in the day—just before sun rises and then early evening.
If you would get those bites during these times then yes it’s probably caused by mosquitoes.
