yes they do bite, you get bites like a flea bite from them and they are very hard to get rid of, you need to completely fumigate the room and wash everything in a very hot wash, get rid of pillows as they love these and get professional treatment on your mattress

Bed bugs tend to be found in dwellings that are frequently used. Places like dorms, apartments, motels, hotels, and especially used furniture departments. If you’re traveling or you’ve just recently purchased some used furniture, it’s a very good idea to do a thorough inspection for any mature bed bugs, bed bug husks, or their eggs. According to the Ohio State University Extension Fact Sheet, “tufts, seams, and folds of mattresses” are the first places you should look.

Heres a web site with some info….

I have always been stumped as to how they get into a house in the first place.
When you move house they move with you in the mattresses and bedsheets!

They are not particularly harmful, for the most part anyway. Some people may be allergic to there poop but there’s not much you can do. Vacuuming your mattress, changing sheets often etc have been clinically proven to be ineffective.

They do bite but it doesn’t hurt and you can hardly notice it.
There’s no sense in worrying about them unless you have a major infestation! I used to constantly try to remove them from the mattress, pillows, sheets etc because I have asthma but when I found out that its been proven to be ineffective I stopped and I havent noticed a difference with my allergies.

They are like dust mites only bigger. They do bite but, are more of a nusance than harmful.I don’t know how you get them however, you can help prevent them by changing your sheets often and washing your pillows and matress pad if you have one. There is a spray to kill them at stores like Walmart with the lice treatments called bedding spray(not sure of the manufacturer.
