– dont let your pets sleep on your bed. i know u love your dog/cat, but they go outside, and bring in lots of nasty things.
-change and wash your sheets at least twice a month

Rayden March 28, 2011 at 6:02 am: They have sprays, but I found the most effective method is to vacuum your mattress regularly and flip it every so often. They also sell special bedding supplies at WalMart and such to help control the problem. The bites are usually very tiny if noticeable at all unless you are allergic they you may experience so more redness around the sight. My wife is allergic to them, so I am very vigilant at keeping them to a minimum.
