There aren’t any common household chemical that kill bedbugs. You can try heat treatment, where you put the item in the dryer on high, but it isn’t that effective.

Pesticides and insecticides are most effective.

What do you think? Answer below.

don’t think there is any.

using insecticides or pesticides is very harmful as if you don’t use properly – you will be sleeping on a bed of chemicals – not a good idea, which probably may also explain why companies may not want to produce one just in case they get sued.

if you can afford it, throw away all your bedding and replace with new ones, but make sure you thoroughly clean and hoover your bedroom before putting your new ones in.

if you can’t, still thoroughly clean and hoover your bedroom especially around the bed area and the head-board. Also thoroughly hoover your mattress top and bottom. wash your duvets, duvet-covers, blankets, pillows, pillow-covers, anything you use as bedding into a HOT wash and HOT tumble-dry them clean. this will get rid of most of them and the eggs but not all, so its best to repeat at least once a week for a good few weeks so that any eggs that hatch are destroyed as soon as possible to prevent more laying and hopefully eventually will eliminate them altogether.

it’s a long drawn out process if you do it by yourself. You could use chemicals like pyrethroids, vacuum them from your carpet. (Making sure to throw the vacuum bag away.

I’ve always sprayed the bed, my couches, carpets, with rubbing alcohol in a sprayer. Then used a steam iron (like the one that they use to iron clothes in a cleaners).

I’ve been told that the steamer can cause mold but have never had that problem…It’s a judgement call. Good luck your honor.
