is it bedbugs?

in Bedbug Questions

Question by Melanie:
is it bedbugs?

For the past month, i have been very itchy. it started on my arms, then to my legs, now to my stomach. at first i thought it was stress induced hives or an allergic reaction to a detergent. after i washed everything, it’s still itchy! especially at night. I have this suspicion that my bed may have bedbugs..since the symptoms are very similar. the thing is..i’ve searched my bed and box spring…but i see no sign of them! no skin casts, no eggs, no fecal matter, nothing! i figured i’d treat anyway…but i went to walmart to find some stuff and couldn’t find anything. is this bedbugs? where can i get the matress treatment for it? if it is bedbugs, do i have a right to yell at my landlord for this? any help would be appreciated.
the itchiness is paired with red splotches if i itch too much, and sometimes small bumps. the detergent i switched back it is a hypoallergenic, and i searched for the bedbugs around 4am, still nothing. i thought it was dry skin and i switched to an all natural body wash and lotion. i just don’t know….

I doubt this is bedbugs since you don’t mention any bites or rash. Sounds like dry skin from the weather. Do you have a humidifier in your bedroom to keep the air humdified? Also stop using the soap you use for a while and try a something hypoallergenic in the shower and a hypoallergenic lotion when you get out. YOu also need to switch to an all natural laundry soap and get rid of the toxic brand you probably use now. To treat your bed use a carpet shamooer with the furniture attachment on it and use a tea tree oil solution to clean it. If it is bedbugs or something it is not your landlords fault. Sounds like it is just your skin though from your soap etc.

What do you think? Answer below.

Yes it is, but the only way you will get the bed bugs if you let people who have been out side either playing in dirt or just have been out side sweeting sit on your bed or lay in your bed.

It could be a number of things… I got scabies when in the Hosp. for a surgery and I was anemic; got it from the bed on my back. It is hard to get rid of, but not impossible. Another could be shingles; you don’t have to be old.
