get a new mattress! those things suck, and do it fast so they dont spread in your house!!
Call a professional exterminator. THey are notoriously difficcult to get rid of and can live lots of places other then the mattress.
personally, i have not had bed bugs. i have known people who have had them. i was told they change their sheets every few days for a couple weeks at least. some times longer. when you first get up, take the sheets off and put them in the washing machine. its cheaper then a new mattress and an exterminator.
