Question by pat:
Are Prague Hostels still bad for bedbugs? Is Travellers’ Hostel Dlouhá OK?

From the digging around I’ve been doing on the net, it would appear there was a pretty rampant bed bug issue in Prague’s Hostels back in ’08. Has it been brought under control?

I’m especially curious about Travellers’ Hostel Dlouhá, as I am considering booking there.

In the last couple of years, bed bugs have been a problem for the hospitality industry worldwide. Last year it was the US that had real problems keeping things under control. This is an issue that affects all accommodation, from hostels to 5* hotels, and owners are aware that the only way to keep guests is to treat the bed bugs. So I would think the problems in Prague are controlled as well as can be expected.

You obliviously have not seen the epidemic of bed bugs in the US. It rose 400 % !!
You will probably have less there.
