We have bed bugs how do we get rid of them?

Me and my brother live in this studio apartment and we have just found out we had bed bugs. I was wondering what we could do to get rid of them because we cant count on our landlord to do anything we had told our landlord 2 weeks ago we had cockroaches and water bugs and he just brought us something to get rid of them. We are planning to move out so we need to know how to get rid of them so we dont take them with us. We have to break contract this is to much for me and my brother.

My friend brought bedbugs home after staying in another country and she had to call an exterminator. I don’t know if there is a way to do it yourself.

Going to a hardware store or Places like Lowes and Home Depot and asking what is being used in your area would be good. Different areas have different rules.
Something with cedarside in it is good to use. I saw some of this in a feed store.
Putting mattress covers on the mattress and box springs will keep the bugs out of them. Bed bugs can go a year without eating. So the covers need to stay on for over a year. Pillows too.
Moving the bed away from the wall will help.

Washing all of your clothes and things with a 1/2 cup of baking soda in it and a cup of vinegar and drying them in a hot dryer and then putting them in sealed bags and containers will protect you there.
Or soaking them in borax 20 mule team cleaner along with your regular soap can kill them. Directions are on the box of what you can use it on.

Bed bugs hide in the walls during the day and they can come from other apartments.
Putting what you use along the baseboards will kill the ones coming out of the walls.
Sealing up any cracks will help.
Putting child proof plugs in the electric outlets will keep them from coming in there.

Rubbing alcohol, found in pharmacies, the kind for the skin, will kill the bugs, but not will get rid of them. The alcohol will kill the bugs on things that can be washed. Not on wood. It dries fast.

Bed bugs aren’t his problem. They’re yours. Call an exterminator.

There is no other way. Commercial chemicals work for some pests, but bed bugs aren’t one of them

Be careful breaking your contract. You can get into some real trouble if you don’t have the legal grounds.
