Question by Bunny H:
does anyone know the best way to kill bed bugs in an apartment?

I am plagued by bed bugs. I have done everything and can’t afford to move. Does anyone know the best way to kill them for good? I live in an apartment and the landlord sprays but then it chases them to next apt and so on and so on. I am very depressed, I am 62 years old and I am sickly and I just don’t know where to turn.

62 is not that old.

Im sorry.
We have a bed bug epidemic around here too. A friend of mine doused her house with rubbing alcohol. The smell was awful but the bugs were gone.
Your local hardware store should care products that are specially designed to kill the bugs.
You can also try staying with a friend or relative for a while and leave the bugs to starve alone.
try a google search of ‘getting rid of bed bugs’, its bound to contain many more methods.

Hi, I lived in an apartment with bedbugs and it is very hard to get rid of them unfortunately. You have to get your place especially exterminated for bed bugs not just general bugs. The problem also is if anyone from your apt, i.e your landlord walks into your apt, there is a very high possibility that the bugs will get on them (they are very easily spread because the babies are sticky and get on clothes and in hair) and then even if you do rid them, they keep bringing them back. The best advice is to tell your landlord that if they do not get your apt. properly exterminated, it could potentially be very costly. Back at my old apt we warned the landlord to exterminate, he ignored us and did some cheap extermination. Eventually they had to bomb the entire apt building(costing thousands of dollars) and then before long there was a bedbug epidemic in the city! One thing you can do is also wash all of you clothes in HOT water. Good luck!
