how can i get rid of bed bugs WHILE traveling?

is there an alternative to throwing out all my things in order to get rid of bed bugs? I think I may have picked some up while traveling in italy, i am covered in red bites all over my body.

The next place you stop, get all your stuff washed on hot and then dried on the highest setting (do it yourself if they have laundromats there… just to make sure it is done properly) and then get your luggage steamed, I don’t know how you would accomplish this, but extreme heat is the only legal way to kill both the microscopic bugs, and their even more microscopic eggs. Chemical solutions will be a waste of time because they will ruin your clothes and do nothing to the eggs (nearly all pesticides that have effects on eggs are widely banned unless applied by a professional, particularly in places like N. America and Europe)

Good luck and please don’t bring them back to your home! Much easier to deal with on someone else’s turf
