Is it the landlords responsibility to take care of bed bugs?

Is it the landlords responsibility to take care of bed bugs when it is the tenants who have brought them into an apartment.

No. You brought them with you and they are in your furniture, not in their house.

I beg to differ. While laws vary from state to state, city to city, I know for a fact in all of NYC it is the landlord’s responsibility. If you are not sure about your locality contact the Board of Health. Be care full with this because once they are contacted the problem will need to be corrected immediately. If it’s on you I would suggest you have the funds for an exterminator.

Bed Bugs are a serious health issue. Stop worrying about who is to blame and fix the problem. Good luck.

No, You would be responsible for things like that. The landlord would be responible for things that are structural.

I’m thinking thats on you… but if your in an apartment complex just treating your unit probably wont take care of the problem. you and your landlord should be working together to treat the whole building at a shared cost to you all.
