Question by It’s Easy:
Is it safe to get rid of bed bugs yourself?

We brought home bed bugs from Amsterdam and they aren’t terrible (yet :/) we can’t even see them but none the less should we go about getting rid of them ourselves or pay for an exterminator? We don’t want them coming back!

that may lead to some problems if you do not know the proper way. the most effective way to repel bed bugs is to spray the urine of the species any where/thing you want causing them to think your one of their own. but here are some websites to help you in your dilema. i would post more. dont want to freak you with the info/facts/pics they give/show you

If you can’t even see them, how do you know you have bedbugs? From bites?

In any case, a good exterminator will look in and treat places that you might miss, so if 100% is what you want, hire a professional.

If you do it yourself, you’ll need to inspect and possibly treat your luggage, and any areas around where it’s stored where the insects could have hidden upon leaving the luggage in search of warm bodies. The beds that have bugs will need treating, both matress and box spring and also bed frames, headboards and any cracks, crevices, pictures, or other items nearby, even nightstands can serve as a daytime hiding place for them.
