Question by Juel:
How do we protect my mother’s house from bedbugs brought in on the body of a person?

My nephew will soon be moving in with my 91 year old mother. He currently has a skin rash that we are afraid has been caused by bedbugs due to his poor living situation. How do we make sure my mother’s house is protected and that he does not come in and infect her and infest her house with this little creature?

Have him wash all of his clothing in the hottest water and highest setting possible before he puts them away. If he is bringing in his own bed, thoroughly vacuum every crack, crevice and seam.

Install Bedbug-proof encasements on all mattress and box springs as this is the most common place for infestation (especially his bed). You can also install ClimbUP Insect Interceptors under the legs of all beds in an effort to trap and Bedbugs that try to infest beds and to identify a possible infestation. These traps are great and used professionally.
