why do blood sucking insects inject their saliva?

like mosquitoes and bedbugs ect. Why do they have a second tube to inject their saliva?

it’s one thing that they want to suck my blood, but to have their spit inside me, yuck!

They inject an anesthetic and anticoagulant so you will not feel them bite you and squish them and so your blood will keep flowing instead of clotting so they can eat.

anticoagulants to keep your blood ( their food ) from clotting.

they have an anticoagulant in their saliva ….which prevents clotting of blood…and we are unaware of it
