I have what appeared to be insect bites, what I thought were bed bugs?
they don’t look like the bites shown on any websites. They now look like I am having an allergic reaction to something. The bites mainly appear from my waist, up, in clusters, and are rough.

Try taking an antihistamine, such as Benadryl and see if this helps, as it should if it is an allergic reaction. If they do not get better in a couple of days, or get worse by spreading, itching worse, you should check with your doctor. It can be confusing between bug bites and a different allergic reaction, and sometimes dermatologist get confused and have to biopsy the skin to actually determine which it is. Either way, they usually recommend getting on an antihistamine for treatment.
