Do you think this was rude what I said about my grandmom and her bedbugs?

Question by Jack Frost:
Do you think this was rude what I said about my grandmom and her bedbugs?

So I recently stayed over my sisters house And I left my favorite pair of sneakers over there. She said she would drop them off at my grandmom’s house, who lives directly down the road.

Recently my grandmom’s house was infected with bedbugs, and I don’t want them at my house.

So I told my sister to just bring them to my house because I don’t want to step foot in her (my grandmom) house until the bedbugs are gone, let alone leave my clothes there.

My sister said I was being stuck-up and rude for saying this, but I just don’t want them in my home.

What do you think? Do you think what I said was rude?

Not really, no. You said it to your sister; it would be different if you told your grandmother herself that you didn’t want your belongings in her house. Bedbugs are a big problem to get rid of, and not wanting your things in a home you know is infected isn’t rude, it’s common sense.

What you said is reasonable, not rude. If grandma’s is a convenient location, you probably would have been safe to put your things in a sealed plastic bag, too.

Not rude at all.
Why on earth would you chance having to shell out thousands of dollars to rid your home of bedbugs ? If I were you, I’d just forget the shoes and buy new ones.
