Is it fleas or bedbugs?
I have a long-haired cat, and he gets matts of fur a lot. But today while I was combing them out, I found 2 live bugs of some sort, along with a LOT of dandruff and a LOT of “flea dirt.” So my first reaction was fleas, but my mom brought up the possibility of bedbugs, because I have occasionally been getting strange bites on my legs for some time. I’ve found tiny little bug-things in my bed before, that kind of looked like beetles. My cat spends 90% of his time in my bed, so we think there’s probably a link between the two. Do bedbugs create dirt too? Do flea bites look like bedbug bites? Anything would be really helpful.

Bedbugs leave huge welts on ur skin when they bite. Fleas only leave small itchy bite marks. So, u’d know if it were bedbugs.
