Red bumps; bedbugs?

in Bedbug Questions

Question by Kay:
Red bumps; bedbugs?

Yesterday my mom found four red bumps below her eyes. Today, I found four of the same on my stomach, and six on my thighs. I’m not sure what they are, but they are red and (sometimes) itchy. Are they bedbugs? And if so, how do I get rid of the bugs?

Are there any little pinhead size dots of blood on your bed linens? If they are bedbugs and they sound like it, the bedding mattresses and all other clothing where they can live needs to be aired out, put into a cold area ( like a pillow in the freezer would kill them) There are companies that do this for you. Were you sleeping in the same area? Hmmm

No. They could be flees or ticks, spiders exc. Or even rashes caused by other things. Bedbugs are in all beds as they are just basically skin mites and very have millions of them on us. Yes gross but they are very very tiny. If they bite you’d never know it.

Wash your bedsheets in hot water often during bedbug season. I just washed mine yesterday and I sprayed flea killing stuff on my cat too. Vacuum your carpets every day as well as bedbugs and fleas like to live in carpets.
