Question by Chimera:
How can I kill bed bugs that may be nesting in my cat’s fur?

I’m going on an extended vacation and taking my cat with me. I am taking all precautions for myself, i.e. doing laundry, vacuuming shoes, etc., but was wondering if there is anything I could do to ensure my cat doesn’t inadvertently spread the problem? I have a hefty 5 lb. bucket of diatomaceous earth. Could I dust/ bathe her with that?

Take her to the vet. I don’t think bedbugs live on animals.

Actually Bed bugs do not live on humans or animals. They live in the folds of mattress, cracks, crevices and only come out in the early am to feed. your cat may have a flea problem. check the source’s below for some guidelines about Bedbugs or fleas.
