Question by John S:
Going on a picnic in a public park. What kind of bugs should I be worried about?

I know about ants. But I’m worried about bugs like lice, fleas and bedbugs. What kind of an environment do these malicious bugs thrive on? Should I feel safe when I lie on the grass?

Other than Bee’s I really don’t think you have to worry. Well there are ticks to. also look out for poison Ivy. I know its a plant but you will be in some bad shape if you get it on you.

Take a spray bottle with “Listerine”, cheapest,, for mosquitos.

Doesn’t take much, but spray yourself and others, very lightly, spray around your surroundings, lightly.
NO mosquitos.

Lice and bed bugs are not very common in parks. Never heard of a case.
I’ve never had flea problems except on pets. If there is an infestation of fleas, they can go to humans.

IDK, but maybe the Listerine will help.

Ants are probably your main concern, and mosquitos. Just bring mosquito spray. But, I wouldn’t recommend lying on the grass without a blanket because of red bugs “chiggers”. They’re small and hard to see, but trust me, you’ll be itchy for days!

There are spiders, bees, and centipedes.
