How can i protect myself from bed bugs at hotels?
ewwwwww i justed learned about them in sci. class today and they make me wanna live in my shower. ew how can i protect myself from them when staying at a hotel?

First..look for the signs before you get into the bed. They are easy to spot. Second, don’t leave your suitcase one the floor or on the bed. That is how they get to your house.

Keep all your sheets and clothing clean. If you are really concerned about it there is a medicated wash that you can use.
Nothing short of sleeping inside your car on the hotel’s parking lot! Bed bugs are everywhere, probably even in your bed, If you feel however that you want to be safer I suggest that when you travel you bring a disposable plastiuc mattress cover and clean sheets and pillows from home.
The simplest solution is to wash everything you had with you in the hotel in hot water as soon as you get home. That includes the clothes on your body. Don’t throw your laundry in a basket where the critters can infest your other clothes, etc. Then take your suitcase outback and spray it with disinfectant and leave it outside for a few days.
If you stay in hotel’s that much, then lift the sheets and see if there in the corners. And if they are, then ask either for another room, or get your money back. But I wouldn’t worry about that, even staying over a friends house can be the same. The thing I worry about the most in hotels is the carpet beetles and roaches which come out when you turn the lights off. I stayed in a hotel once in FL and notice the ceiling moving. When I turned on the light, I saw a spider bigger then my fist.
sleep in the bathtub..but then u gotta watch out for roaches
