Question by Zobari Z:
ANy home redies to get rid of bed Bugs. ANy helpful sites?

I have discovered bed bugs in my apartment recently and they are driving me nuts. I am going to have family visiting on Thanks giving and they will stay. What do I do? How much do those professional charge? How many treatments are needed?

Change and launder bedding, air the mattresses and expose to sunshine, Vacuum. Sprinkle cornstarch to draw moisture, and create an inhospitible environment for them.

It is my understanding that those bedbugs are eating the old skin cells which flake off. If you change your sheets more often, they won’t have anything to eat.

Have you told you landlord about the bed bugs? S/he might need to call in a specialist to kill them. The earlier poster might be thinking of dust mites, they eat you dead skin cells. Bedbugs are blood suckers and will come out only at night. They don’t live in your bed, they live in small holes and cracks in your building. They can be very diffiicult to get rid of. So contact your landlord and see if they’ll work something out.

I feel your pain. I had a bad bad bed bug infestation years ago.

I tried so many remedies and even a professional exterminator with $ $ $ $ $ , but BED BUGS STILL CAME BACK!!

I was mentally ill and those bugs drove me absolutely nuts.

Then I found Bed Bug Powder. I had tried sprays or liquid pesticide, but never tried “powder”. But it said the powder is natual powder and is completely safe to humans and pets.

The price was pretty reasonable (I think it was only $ 10 or $ 12??) so I bought it and tried it.

First of all, I needed to wash all the bedding items with HOT water. Also use a steam cleaner on the mattress or floor. what that does is that heat over 120 degrees kills live bed bugs hiding in the mattress or sheets. If it is summer, you can take the mattress out under the direct sunlight for a few hours, but it is easier and more effective to use a steamer because of the current weather.

Then sprinkle the Bed Bug Powder on the infected area, and that is it!!

Just small amount of Bed Bug Powder can get rid of bed bugs, and it lasts, seems to be, forever.

Now I have no fear of bed bug bites and I am so glad that I found the powder. I wish I met the powder before I spent a lot on the exterminator 🙁

Good luck!
