Question by mizteelady:
Are bed bugs visible to the the human eye or are they so tiny that you have to view them through a microscope?

How do you get rid of bed bugs? What are the cures?
I am a clean person but I haven’t slept on my sheet in about a month because i haven’t been home. When finally i did sleep on my bed i woke up to tiny red itching bumps i honestly don’t know if its a n allergic reaction or not. I came home yesterday and sprayed with pine sol and flipped my mattress over and of course washed my sheets. I slept in my bed last night and i didn’t have any bumps on my body at all. Thank god

I think i’m going through a mental thing because i read an article in the newspaper almost 2 weeks ago on How Bed Bugs making a COMEBACK!!!!!

You can see bed bugs. Basically maintain good hygiene on your sleeping area. Clean sheets regularly. Make sure the area is not damp or dark all the time.

No they are not visible unless they have been around for a long time, and even then they are very small. The best way is to wash your sheets and blankets.

You need a microscope. You can never get rid of them all. Change your sheets as often as possible to minimise the amount. They feed on dead skin.

You can’t see them. If you have an infestation in your mattress your best bet is to get a new one. Never buy used bedding (sheets, pillows, and blankets). Replace all of those too.

They’re visible to the naked eye, but they hide most of the time so they’re sometimes hard to find. They’re flat and hide easily. The only real way to get rid of them is with a professional exterminator.

Best thing is to prevent getting them in the first place. A common way to get them is to pick them up from hotel/motel rooms, so be certain you didn’t bring any home with you if you travel.

You mean they are real? I thought they were just something my Granny would tell me not to let the bed bugs bite when she was tucking me in the bed. 🙂

you can not see bed bugs with the human eye you need a microscope or some other device with a large lens to it, if we looked under our beds with one of these can you imagine how many of these critters we would find? thousands and thousands of them i bet
