You can’t sue them. You’d never be able to prove that I. . I mean your landlord. . .infested your home with bedbugs.

sorry, but the chances that he did this are highly unlikely, because bed bugs are microscopic and exist on everyone’s bed (yes, it’s true!)…

you need to vaccuum your mattress often and wash your sheets every 3 days. you should also buy new pillows every 6 months to a year. you will still have bedbugs because they feed off of dead skin cells, and EVERYONE has them, but you will drastically reduce the number of them.

You might try talking to your local board of health, as this is a health hazard.

This happened in Boston a few years ago; the students moved in in the fall and their apartments had major infestation problems. Started because one person brought them in and they multiplied.
The city stepped in and the landlords worked with the city and the tenants, to try to fix the problem.

It is worth a phone call, but I wouldn’t use the lawsuit angle. You would not be able to prove how the bugs got in.

Meanwhile, follow the other poster’s suggestion about washing sheets in hot water, changing or getting rid of pillows, etc.
