Are there any bugs that may look like bed bugs?
Are there any bugs that can mistakenly be considered a bed bug? I squesed one and red blood came out. It was real hard to squish becasue it was really flat.

They resemble ticks, which are hard to squish and usually full of blood. They also look a lot like head lice, but they typically are hard to catch, so I doubt that is what it is.
Dust mites? Spider beetles? And, bed bugs like blood as a food source, so if you squeeze them, blood WILL come out.
bird bugs and bat bugs can sometimes find their way inside a home if the host animals are nesting in the attic / soffet area.
