Can I have bed bugs with no signs around bed?

I have a rash that resembles bed bug bites but I have no signs of bed bugs around my bed. Is it possible to have bed bugs and have no signs of them?

Ny Times had great article on bedbugs one day last week–you can probably read it online. But I understand that you can see the varmints, the size of an appleseed. Not sure. I’d be freakiing out, tho.

If you don’t see any, and the rash doesn’t itch, it’s a rash, not bed bugs.

You know when they are there. They live in the mattress. The soap you washed your clothes with or the sheets might be breaking you out.
