Question by Pennsy Dutch:
Would you welcome the limited return of the wonder pesticide DDT to get rid of bedbugs and their eggs?
I bought some in Chinatown and it works like a miracle against cockaroaches, as well.
Yeah, I like how Southerners say cockroach, too: Roach Bugs. No shi+.

I GOING TO KILL YOU COCKAROACHES!!!!!!
….sorry.
Ummmm yeah, anything to get rid of those pesky bugs is welcome for me!!!
As far as I know, bedbugs do not exist in urban America. Nor have I ever personally encountered a cockroach.
Well Joe leads a very sheltered life Bedbugs are on the rise and DDT won’t kill um! So my answer is no… Plain ole Seven dust keeps all the critters out of my home and off my pets…
Yes, but why limit it?.
Given the almost uncountable millions of people who have died from malaria since DDT was banned, it appears that Rachel Carson (the leader of the anti-DDT crusade) should be regarded as a mass murderer on the scale of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, and Pol Pot.
No. I remember when it was banned, it didn’t take long for manufacturers to find other ingredients to do the same thing without all the side affects. DDT has such a long residue life and anything that comes in contact with it is also killed. It is just too dangerous. We have never recovered from all the butterflys that were killed back then.
Yes-Not only a limited ban, but why not just lift the ban. Thousands of people are dieing because of malaria. We live in an area where mosquitoes are so bad you can’t go out during the summer.I have small children, with the threat of west nile and all the other diseases, there should be some control on these life threatening bugs.
The ban on DDT must never be lifted!
