Will bleach kill bedbugs on a mattress?

I will be staying at a hotel and wonder if I spray 1 part bleach to 9 parts water it will help prevent bed bugs from biting.

They say bleach won’t work and will irritate your skin. If your hotel has bedbugs, tell the management and then leave. They are very difficult to get rid of because they move around and hide in the walls and furniture. The proper treatment involves spraying and fumigating.

Even if you kill the adults with spray, the eggs will hatch later and then you will have more. There is little that effectively kills the eggs. The only thing that consistently works is dry heat above 120F.
