to me the best solution is to get rid of your mattress and buy a new one.

Oh I am sorry. I hear they are spreading in some paces like NY. I agree that you probably have to replace the mattress and hope they aren’t lingering in the room. That would be awful. I guess you’d have to really clean and fumigate in between getting rid if the old one and getting a new one. Is there info on line? Good luck!
If you are in the US, Wal-Mart sells a kit to kill lice. Make sure to treat the seams of your mattress and all the crevices in the bed.
If you have carpet, it is going to be a little more difficult. Treat the carpet with Sevin Dust and vacuum. The treatment of your bedding and the carpet must be repeated once a week for at least five weeks to kill all the eggs and larvae as they hatch.
They sell bags that you put your mattress in and zip up. People use them to keep their mattresses in like new condition, or if they have allergies, I’m sure it would work for your problem as well because it would seal anything living on the mattress inside and you can still sleep on it. Mattress bags are sold by the bedding and linens. You could probably also use something like Rid Home Head Lice Control Spray. You can spray it on mattresses and other non-washable items. I’m sure that would probably kill any bugs living in your mattress. Good luck.
Believe me they are a real pain to get rid of!It took us almost a year.You have to take apart your bed frame and spray with professional strength spray all over bed frame.Vacuum mattress and spray along seams.They can hide everywhere! Especially warm and dark places.Baseboards any little crack like roaches .Disinfect all clothes and seal tham in bags until sure all bugs are gone or you’ll be reinfested with them.Vacuum everything.If you can also use polyurethane or somethig similiar and go along all furniture where they are joined that way if you missed some or eggs they are sealed into everything.I had to no money to continue throwing out dressers etc.I bought my spray from a local hardware store for under $ 20.Pco sprayed but i didn’t notice it worked.Be warned though that though the can said stay out of room for an hour i had to stay out ten!The stuff was that strong.ps.I hope your not allergic to there bites!good luck.
