Question by Curzon:
Bed Bugs and Dust Mites . . . . . .?

Do the mattress covers that say they protect against dust mites protect against bed bugs also?

For those who do not know dust mites and bed bugs are different insects.
Thanks guys I will look into both of your suggestions.

Yes, if they zip up and completely cover The mattress.
It is best if they are made out of plastic or something like it.
Target, I read, sells the ones for bed bugs.

No the bed bugs need to be encased in an absolutely air tight case, it will raise the co2 levels and kill the bed bugs and finally kill the eggs too. But I found a source that sell both.

you are counting on them living on the mattress..they are just as likely to be found a few feet away from the bed hiding during the day in the folds of curtains, along baseboards nearby furniture. If the cover you are talking about encases the whole mattress yes, if it is mainly a “fitted” sheet design then no.
