Question by Favre Fan:
what to do with bed bugs?

We have bedbugs in our house, at least i think we do. My family and myself wake up with little red bumps that look like mosquito bites on a daily basis. They itch like hell and are everywhere. If they are bed bugs how do we get rid of them and how to we treat these bites? We have been just using typical itch cream, cortizone 10 stuff.

If it truly is bedbugs, you will need to wash all bed linens in hot water and dry them in the dryer on high heat. Go to the pharmacy and purchase some bedding spray. While the sheets are off the bed, spray the mattresses, pillowcases, and any stuffed animals or other items that may harbor the bugs. Be sure to get in the creases of the mattress, and also spray around the baseboards in the room.

If you’re still bothered by the problem after one or two treatments of bedding spray, you may have an infestation of scabies, which can be spread to the whole family. If it is scabies, you will need to see a physician to get a prescription lotion to treat everyone in your house. You will also need to wash and dry all bed linens, and use bedding spray on mattresses, pillows, sofas, etc. Scabies is contagious. Bedbugs are not.
