Read up online use google.com to find info, they are hard to get rid of, the news showed how they live everywhere if you have them, and since DDT was outlawed they were almost eradicated but have made a come back and so far no poison has really done as good of job in getting rid of them. They live in electric outlets, in folds of fabic, anywhere dark, they like to come out late in the morning like 3am or so. They said they carry no illness, they are just gross.

I’d vacuum the living daylights out of the room, vacuum the mattress, fog the room, wash the sheets, and spread a layer of bounce sheets under the mattress and above the mattress but under the mattress pad and then put on the sheets. I would also throw moth balls under the bed and open the electrical outlets and put a mothball in each one. They also have mothball chips and you can do a line of them along the baseboards. If you can, open the curtains and bring in the sunlight during the day with the blanket folded back to expose most of the bed sheet.

Don’t just do one pass with the vacuum, do like ten or twenty passes and take your time.

Some washing machines have a sanitize cycle where it heats the water up extra hot, use that if yours has that cycle. You may want to put the sheets through the washing machines twice.

I remember seeing a local news article about bed bugs which included an interview with some hotel maintenance people. What I remember is in line with one of the previous posters about them being able to live in any nook, cranny, and crevis. What I remember is that the news article placed emphasis on the hotel staff doing routine cleaning of the bed frames, dressers, lamps, and other surfaces complete with the furniture legs and frames.

When bringing in new mattresses, I would consider using zip-up plastic matress covers.

Call Orkin- they do have the guarantee and a plan..
after 3-4 visits, cancel the plan… you should be good by then.

bed bugs like to crawl into wood and they hide well…
lots of vacuuming and poison… and washing… be careful with the
kids around all the poisons
