You need to contact pest control or exterminator. I don’t know a bunch about bed bugs but all I know is they can hide anywhere. My friend had the same problem..they were in her baseboards, computer desk, carpet, clothing, purses. They hide. When they have larva the larva can be hidden in the threading of anything..carpet..clothing..the mattress or blankets. So just because the bug is gone the babies may still be there. Bug bombs and sprays do not work, you need to contact a professional.

What do you think? Answer below.

they could be lots of places. clothing, blankets, spreads, under dressers, in dressers, etc. They could also be in the carpets. One cleaning and then every other day vacuum is not going to get them all. She needs to spray everything with a pesticide specifically for bed bugs. Multiple treatments will be needed and everything must be treated. It is probably best to hire a professional.

Bed bugs are really fast moving and have the ability to live in cracks, baseboards, walls so on so forth. The bugs typically only come out to feed during the evening hours, chances are they are living close to her bed area as they dont like to go far for their meals.

Be careful if you go there until the exterminator has done their job!

Curtains, closets, towels, rugs, baseboards, shoes, anywhere small enough for them to fit

The term “bed bug” is somewhat of a misnomer, as they will live in almost anything. Typically, they are found in and around the mattress because that is where their food source (us!) is located. However, they also will hide under baseboards, in wall voids, cracks in furniture, and anything else that has cracks or seams to provide harborage.

I would recommend for her to look into thermal remediation. The best thing about this type of treatment is that heat can penetrate into all those cracks and crevices where chemicals often miss. Good luck!
