You HAVE to go the professional route. Sorry, but it will be worth it in the long run. A single bedbug can live for two years on a single bite, so call the professionals and get it done right. Be sure you hire an exterminator who offers a money-back guarantee.

Good luck.

The best Chemical for bed bugs used to be DDT, but for some reason now, it is difficult to get hold of it. You can phone a pest exterminator and ask if they can advise you where to buy a suitable chemical for bed bugs.
Bed Bugs are difficult to get rid of as they can burrow deep into a matress. They also live behind skirting boards, or any tiny cracks on the skirting boards.

Remove all bedding and wash. Replace your pillows or if feather pillow wash with bleach and dry in the dryer.
Set a couple of bug foggers in the room with the door closed. Go shopping or do something else. Sprinkle baking soda on the mattress and box spring and rub it in good. leave it for a couple hours and flip the mattress and do the other side. After a day vacuum well.

home depot is the only place that sells a spray that kills them.. and keeps killing.
mop your carpet with a solution of water and beach. Fill bathtub..take one gallon of beach pour in bath tub..take kitchen sponge mop and mop your carpet. This is to kill the eggs. look for brown spots
and take q-tip and beach and eradicate any spots on walls, ceilings.
Ordinary bug spray leaves them unaffected.
The bug spray I think was by Bayer.
Vacuum every day and wash all your clothes. especially vacuum the edges of walls and any crevices. .and I do mean all of them. Those you can’t wash or afford to dry clean..segregate in airtight plastic boxes. Tape them up with duct tape. Target sells them.
They can hibernate for up to two years..so keep anything you segregate locked up!
We had them once and their a pain. With a commercial pest killing company it still took a year.
At night turn off lights and wait up..with a flashlight look for them..they’re bold about coming after you.kill them.
Throw your bed out..its a lost cause. sleep on floor and bundle bedding up in morning to prevent contamination.
Straight beach undiluted makes a good killer but only when you see them..put it in a spraybottle.
