Bed bugs like to hide in the creases of your mattress folds and seams. Steaming your bedroom only got your room clean, but didn’t do anything to get rid of the bedbugs. Try these different website suggestions. The most notable is the suggestion to get a new mattress if you can afford one:

I’m having similar problems. My plan is to get a plastic mattress zip bag and then either put each leg in a bucket of water or keep rubbing vasoline around each leg. I don’t really care if they are in my room I just don’t want them in my bed.
That’s exactly what happened to my aunt – only the arms. I suggest you steam the carpets, dry ALL of your clothes (they love clothes) for a long time, put tape or a container filled with water in every foot of your bed, throw out anything you don’t need in your house so there’s less things for them to be in, if your tv has hole sin it for ventilation I suggest you get rid of it. Keep purses shoes or whatever you can’t dry in the dryer in plastic bags.
Getting a new mattress will only solve the problem assuming they are only located in the mattress and not the bed frame, head board, dresser etc.
A good remedy is a Allerzip mattress and box spring cover for encasement purposes it will help the treatment if you have another infestations.
Using the proper products will help you Do the job correctly.
