Check under the mattress. You might find signs under there, bed bugs or their poop which is dark brown.
If she has pink/red bites and they stay itchy for several days, they could be spider bites. Check her room and the ceilings for spider webs.

I have experienced bed bug bites and flea bites.Tell you one thing- bed bugs are not noticable to the naked eye. you need a microscope to see them. WHen they bite, they dont usually bite once; you see an irregular pattern. They are dark red dots that can be formed in a linear way or around each other and is very irritating. The bites dont just go away like mosquito bites. They remain for almost a month. Flea bites are as irritating as bed bugs, but they dont leave patterns on the skin. I hope i helped. I’m sorry about your child. i know how much it sucks and i know how much it feels :/ but they should disappear eventually. clean your sheets just to make sure.

it could be some sort of bugs. i suggest you give her bedding and mattress a thorough clean. when was the last time you cleaned her mattress?
