Question by beth:
I have bed bugs in my bedroom. If I have people over and they stay out of the bedroom will they ‘catch’ it?

I have a friend who wants to stay over for the weekend. If she sleeps on the couch in the living room (where I doubt I have bedbugs), will she somehow ‘catch’ them? I do’nt want her to take the investation back to her own apartment!
Thanks!

What is a “bed bug”? Are you talking about your herpes? That is only transmitted through sexual contact. Will this be a girls gone wild weekend?

The liklihood of bedbugs confining themselves to one area is highly unlikely. They hide well and can infest your house very quickly. Dont take for granted that they are confined to one area of your home.

You have to have a professional come and take care of a problem like this. I have added some links for you to check out.

I keep my mattresses in a good allery mattress cover. The good ones keep these and dust mites out of your mattress. If they are already there, they cant get out from these covers and so they die.

Yes, there is a chance she could take them back to her place. So consider not having anyone over until you have done away with the bed bugs. And there’s a chance they are throughout your apartment, since you’ve been walking around your place. People who have been on vacation have brought them back.

Call a pest control place to ask them how to take care of them or a relative or friend who might be able to help you.

Get Professional help with the visit of a specialist to make an inspection in your home for these. These bugs hide in floor boards, and anywhere where they can get a meal. A sign that you have these is blood spots scattered on your bed. If it’s a real serious case of these bugs, throw out your mattress and wash your sheets immediately!
