Should I be worried about bed bugs?

ok… so I am a teenager and I have a deathly fear of bugs. I am going to my friends house and then she is coming to mine. I am really afraid of getting bed bugs so what should I do?

You don’t need to worry about bed bugs. Most people pick them up in hotels when they’re traveling. They’re still very rare in most parts of the country.

The odds are that a any visitor will not bring bed bugs into your home. Just ask her if she has bed bugs at home. If she does, I’d skip the sleep over.

You can also ask her to bring clothes in a plastic garbage bag to avoid the risk of any bed bugs hiding in luggage. You can inspect the clothes when she arrives to see if you spot any insects.

Again, it’s smart to ask, but the risk is very very low.
