Question by snowfiregem:
My family’s home was infested with bedbugs, Could we get on extreme makeover home edition?
My parent’s home is in the middle of a huge infestation of bedbugs. My younger brother and sisters live with them, as they are all minors, but I was saved because I was (and still am) living on my own.
They have had to destroy almost all of their belongings, all their toys, most of their clothes, beds thrown out, furniture gone, carpets, moulding, wallpaper ripped out, all in the name of ridding their home of these mean, nasty critters.
Even though my folks make decent money, and were able to afford nice things in the past, this expense is a real hardship for them. Not only is the exterminator $ 2700 (not sure if thats for one visit, or the whole thing – once a month for 6 months), they also have to replace clothes, beds, furniture, etc…
Do you think I could nominate them for extreme makeover home edition? Nobody has died, or is special needs, but to have this happen to them is more than I can bear to watch. Is an event like this enough to get them on the show?
If not this show, are there other shows that redo homes that might consider our case?
I don’t watch too much television, so any suggestions would be helpful.

O yeah… they should be able to. Do what you think is right.
i agree with fedora,or not unless you guys are saints or martyrs or something. or a hero in the military like the last guy.that was an awesome episode huh?
Contact the show and find out, you won’t know unless you try.
It’s worth a try, but most likely they won’t get in because as you said, there really hasn’t been a family tragedy, nobody died for the country or saved another’s life. Not that this isn’t a terrible thing that happened, but to be on EMHE you have to be like saintly.
… or WIC recipients…
